About the Role
The Developer 2 is responsible for the overall performance of the product by applying principles of software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of software. In this role, you will ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software within release timelines and guidelines.
This is a role for a motivated, technically curious engineer who is eager to grow — someone who writes clean, thoughtful code, contributes meaningfully to team processes, and takes pride in building software that works reliably and at scale.
Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
- Develop code based on functional specifications and a thorough understanding of product code; identify refactoring opportunities and architectural improvements while completing logic and algorithm design in alignment with established standards.
- Test code to verify it meets technical specifications and is working as intended before submitting to code review; create and apply automated tests and test principles to software changes, including unit tests.
- Perform moderately complex peer code reviews; read and interpret software requirements to understand their impact on design specifications, contributing data-driven recommendations for internal process improvements and product documentation.
- Contribute to the implementation of the delivery pipeline including test automation, security, and performance; support adherence to established standards and processes applicable to software development methodology.
- Contribute to team standards and processes — including planning, work estimation, solution demos, and reviews — as applicable to the software development methodology in use across the team.
- Provide troubleshooting support for moderately complex production issues and software code issues to ensure the ongoing stability and reliability of the application.
