Overview

Job Description

  • The Compensation Analyst is responsible for developing implementing and administering compensation programs practices and policies. Activities include analyzing evaluating and preparing recommendations to ensure the company maintains a competitive and cost effective position in the markets in which we operate.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute training materials and programs that educate HR Business Partners and managers on compensation-related topics and initiatives; lead formal education sessions and presentations
  • Provide recommendations to the HR Business Partners Recruiting and business leaders based upon an understanding of each department's needs and goals
  • Oversees the market data process including gathering submitting and analyzing data
  • Research federal state and local compliance issues such as wage and hour laws and IRS regulations; conduct FLSA reviews as needed; make recommendations for policy and process updates based on changes in the law
  • Leverage expertise and significant best practice knowledge and lead compensation initiatives which involve analysis revision development or re-design of compensation programs
  • Build and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the business by staying current on initiatives challenges and opportunities; develop an understanding of critical business performance drivers and their relevance to compensation programs
  • Proactively analyze pay trends and metrics; present findings and make actionable recommendations in technologies processes and plan designs to HR leadership
  • Creates base pay strategies policies and programs. Leads annual salary planning and maintenance of salary structures
  • Operate as a trusted advisor to Executives Managers business leaders and HR Business Partners identifying and solving compensation issues and ensuring that programs meet the needs of the business and employees
  • Operate as an innovative thought leader; contribute significantly to the overall growth and quality of the HR department
  • Mentor coach and train other team members

Minimum Qualifications

  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience as a Compensation Professional
  • Completion of World at Work coursework
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and tact
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with executive presence
  • Driven to learn and stay current professionally
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients as demonstrated by finding common ground in completing tasks and solving problems
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Highly organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
  • Exceptional ability to develop logical compelling PowerPoint presentations
  • Execptional ability to focus on key issues research gather and integrate information from a variety of sources and develop sound recommendations
  • Up to 5% travel time required
