Business Analyst
Work Model: Remote
About the Role
The Digital Workplace Business Analyst partners with internal stakeholders across Hyland to understand employee needs, define requirements, and drive the adoption of digital workplace solutions. This role is focused on enabling Hyland's employees to get maximum value from the collaboration, productivity, and workflow tools available to them — it is not a Business Intelligence or data analytics role and does not involve the development of dashboards or reporting solutions. The position spans the full lifecycle of workplace technology enablement: from requirements gathering and discovery, to supporting solution implementations, to acting as a product advocate for internal platforms.
Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to elicit, analyze, validate, and document requirements for digital workplace solutions, process improvements, and tool rollouts
- Support solution implementations for workplace technology initiatives, including requirements definition, user acceptance testing coordination, and go-live readiness
- Drive user adoption and enablement through training sessions, self-service resources, and ongoing support for internal platforms and tools
- Serve as the bridge between Hyland's Digital Workplace Enablement team and internal end users, ensuring solutions address real employee needs
- Perform business analysis and guide stakeholders through the design of process improvement initiatives
- Conduct discovery meetings with key business stakeholders; gather, analyze, and validate information about business processes and pain points
- Capture, document, and measure the effectiveness of business processes; identify gaps and propose practical improvements
- Contribute to product ownership activities including maintaining solution backlogs, writing user stories, supporting prioritization, and representing end-user needs in planning sessions
- Review requirements documentation, resolve open questions, and present final requirements to key stakeholders with oversight from other team members
- Provide support to projects at all stages with the objective of maintaining continuity of information and quality of the final solution
- Provide applicable enablement and training to end users, as required
Role Essentials
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in IT business analysis, management consulting, technology adoption and enablement, or project management; experience supporting digital workplace or digital transformation initiatives is a strong asset
- Technical proficiency with enterprise digital workplace tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, or similar); technical aptitude and curiosity to learn and support new platforms — note: this is not an administration or configuration role, but comfort working with and reasoning about technical systems is essential
- Experience developing, documenting, and maintaining operational policies and procedures
- Strong oral and written communication skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
- Strong customer service orientation and commitment to improving the employee experience
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside the department
- Strong facilitation skills; comfortable leading discovery workshops, enablement sessions, and stakeholder reviews
