Overview

Corporate Development Strategy & Pipeline

  • Develop and execute the company’s M&A and corporate development strategy in alignment with enterprise strategy
  • Build and maintain a robust acquisition pipeline ensuring multiple high-quality targets are active at all times
  • Conduct market scanning competitive intelligence and technology landscape analysis to inform priorities

Deal Execution & Governance

  • Lead end-to-end M&A execution including sourcing evaluation valuation due diligence negotiation and closing
  • Oversee development of financial models investment theses and pro forma projections
  • Ensure timely escalation of risks red flags and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Coordinate cross-functional diligence across Finance Legal Product GTM HR and Operations

Board & Executive Communication

  • Prepare concise acquisition summaries for inclusion in monthly Board of Director updates
  • Lead development of Board approval materials synthesizing key deal points risks and financial projections
  • Provide regular updates on pipeline health deal progress and outcomes to the SVP Chief Strategy Officer and executive team

Integration Leadership & Value Realization

  • Develop and maintain a standardized integration playbook and checklist incorporating lessons learned across transactions
  • Lead coordination of day-one readiness activities including communications and operational alignment
  • Proactively identify and escalate integration risks recommending corrective actions
  • Partner with business leaders to drive synergy capture and value realization post-close

Cross-Functional Coordination & Communication

  • Act as the central point of coordination across all functions involved in pre- and post-close activities
  • Establish and maintain clear communication channels to ensure alignment and accountability
  • Coordinate the purchase agreement process with Legal and Finance ensuring timely input from all stakeholders

Diligence & Risk Management

  • Oversee collection distribution and synthesis of due diligence materials
  • Aggregate input from internal stakeholders to identify and escalate key concerns and risks
  • Ensure disciplined documentation and decision-making processes throughout the deal lifecycle

Continuous Improvement & Deal Performance

  • Lead post-mortems on closed and terminated deals to drive continuous improvement
  • Refine sourcing diligence and integration practices based on lessons learned
  • Track performance of completed transactions relative to investment theses

Strategic Partnerships & Initiatives

  • Identify and evaluate strategic partnerships joint ventures and adjacent growth opportunities
  • Support broader corporate strategy initiatives in partnership with the Chief Strategy Officer

Qualifications & Experience

  • 12–15+ years of experience in corporate development investment banking private equity or strategy consulting
  • Proven track record of leading M&A transactions end-to-end
  • Experience in enterprise software / SaaS or technology-driven environments

  • Highly effective at risk identification escalation and resolution

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance Business Economics or related field
