About the Role

The Senior Developer is responsible for the overall performance of the product by applying principles of software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of software. You'll ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software within release timelines and guidelines while providing technical leadership and mentorship to your team.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.

• Develop complex code based on functional specifications, completing logic and algorithm design in alignment with established standards while translating and analyzing software requirements into design specifications
• Perform complex peer code reviews and provide insight on the broader impact of software changes, incorporating business value and influencing technical direction across the team
• Create and apply automated tests and test principles to software changes — including unit tests — and contribute to the implementation of a delivery pipeline encompassing test automation, security, and performance
• Influence and lead team standards, processes, and events including planning, work estimation, solution demos, reviews, and implementation design discussions
• Research complex escalations for production and software code issues to ensure application stability, and implement development standards to ensure compliance with product and industry practices
• Mentor, coach, train, and provide constructive feedback to team members, while making recommendations for internal process improvements and product documentation

Role Essentials

What you'll need to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
• Significant experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages including Java, C/C++, C#, Objective C, Python, or JavaScript
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, software design, and continuous software delivery
• Demonstrated experience with build environments, delivery pipelines, test automation, and continuous integration tools
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across all levels of the organization

• Experience mentoring or coaching developers in a team environment with a strong ability to provide technical and constructive feedback
• Familiarity with open-source tools and platforms in Windows/Linux development environments
• Experience with software application testing methodologies, tools, and process frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to influence, motivate, and lead technical discussions, solution design reviews, and implementation planning
• Strong original thinking with the ability to translate goals into new ideas and design solutions, along with experience contributing to product documentation and internal process improvements
