About the Role

The Senior Product Manager - Education connects product strategy, execution, and customer adoption for products serving the education market. This role aligns technical implementation with business objectives, ensuring that product priorities, sequencing, and delivery reflect market needs. By working across teams and incorporating insights from partner institutions, this role delivers solutions that address complex, real-world operational challenges.

Operating within a product-led model, this role is expected to take ownership of outcomes — working across functions to identify the right problems and deliver solutions that succeed in practice.

Here's What You'll Do

  • Define and evolve product workflows across key education domains such as admissions, financial aid, and student services; partner with customers and field teams to ensure workflows reflect the real-world needs of educational institutions
  • Work across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to translate business priorities into clear product direction and executable plans; collaborate closely with engineering to define solutions that are scalable and consistent across the broader product ecosystem
  • Maintain visibility into product priorities, customer commitments, and delivery risks; ensure the right context is available for prioritization and sound decision-making
  • Lead prioritization and planning discussions; frame tradeoffs and challenge misalignment between planned work, customer needs, and execution
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and solution teams to shape go-to-market plans; ensure product capabilities, positioning, and timing align with how institutions evaluate, buy, and adopt solutions
  • Take ownership of outcomes across the full product lifecycle from concept through delivery and adoption; use data to make informed decisions that drive measurable results

Role Essentials

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with proven experience in product management within a technology or SaaS environment, managing products across the full lifecycle from concept through delivery and adoption
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in complex, cross-functional environments, working across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to drive outcomes
  • Ability to manage prioritization across competing needs, balancing customer impact, business objectives, and technical constraints; proven track record of bringing structure to ambiguous situations and ensuring follow-through
  • Strong analytical thinking and sound decision-making skills with experience using data to inform product, business, or operational decisions
  • Ability to influence and align stakeholders without direct authority; strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams at various levels

What We'd Like to See

  • Experience working within education environments (higher education or K-12), with familiarity in domains such as admissions, financial aid, student records, or student services
  • Experience designing or improving operational workflows in complex environments, particularly where processes are manual, fragmented, or span multiple systems
  • Experience working closely with customers or field teams to understand how solutions are adopted and used in practice
  • Ability to connect work across multiple teams or product areas, ensuring consistency and alignment within a broader product ecosystem
  • Interest in how institutions use data and workflows to improve decision-making and operational outcomes
