Cyber Security Analyst 4 (Lead Cyber Security Analyst)

Location: Hyderabad, India

About the Role

As a Lead Cyber Security Analyst, you will serve as a senior technical leader and trusted advisor responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex security solutions that protect Hyland's information assets across cloud and enterprise environments. You will lead incident response efforts, drive security policy development, present to executive teams, and contribute to the overall growth of the Cyber Security department through thought leadership, mentoring, and innovation. This role is ideal for a seasoned security professional with deep expertise, sound judgment, and a passion for staying ahead of the evolving threat landscape.

Your Role Responsibilities – Here's What You'll Do

  • Design, implement, and maintain complex security and artificial intelligence solutions that protect and govern the information needs of the organization; use security tools and artificial intelligence to resolve the most complex security issues across cloud and hybrid environments
  • Develop and implement incident response processes, maintain recovery procedures for systems, and respond to and resolve the most complex reported security incidents with precision and urgency
  • Present security updates and state-of-affairs assessments to executive teams; operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends, providing consulting services grounded in expertise and best practice knowledge
  • Perform complex threat and vulnerability assessments to ensure systems are protected from known and potential threats; conduct acquisition and vendor risk assessments
  • Develop and design technical and operational security policies; establish documentation standards to ensure consistency across security systems, procedures, and processes
  • Mentor, coach, and provide feedback to team members; operate as an innovative thought leader, contributing to department growth through knowledge sharing, security research, and coaching on current best practices and market trends

Role Essentials – What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with expertise in IT security architecture within private, public, and hybrid cloud environments
  • Expertise in Microsoft and Unix operating systems with demonstrated mastery of applying security fundamentals and networking concepts
  • CISSP, GIAC, or other security certifications; CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in agentic artificial intelligence, model context protocols, automation technology, and security tools such as endpoint detection and response, file integrity monitoring, security posture management, and security information and event monitoring.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and recommend new or replacement security technologies for purchase and implementation
  • Experience contributing to security research, including innovating new ideas, developing new concepts, and prototyping solutions
  • Proven ability to develop and enforce complex security standards and maintain ownership of cyber security projects through to completion
  • Strong track record of mentoring and supporting developing team members on security best practices and emerging market trends
  • Excellent attention to detail with a drive to learn and stay current professionally in the evolving cyber security landscape

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in IT security architecture within private, public, and hybrid cloud environments
  • Expertise in Microsoft Operating systems and products
  • Expertise in Unix Operating systems
  • Demonstrated mastery of applying security fundamentals and networking concepts
  • Experience with automation tools and security tools
  • Experience with anti-malware, file integrity monitoring and data loss prevention tools
  • CISSP, GIAC or other security certifications
  • COMP TIA Security certification or equivalent experience
  • Excellent collaboration skills applied successfully within team as well as with other teams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • Highly organized and experienced in successfully multi-tasking
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Driven to learn and stay current professionally
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to provide guidance and support to developing team members
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of security fundamentals and networking concepts
  • Up to 10% travel time required
