Cyber Security Analyst 3 (Senior Cyber Security Analyst)

Location: Hyderabad, India Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days per week in office

About the Role

As a Senior Cyber Security Analyst, you will serve as a trusted advisor on security issues, trends, and best practices — helping protect Hyland's systems, data, and infrastructure from evolving threats. You will design and maintain security solutions, respond to complex incidents, conduct vulnerability research, and play an active role in mentoring team members. This role is ideal for a seasoned security professional who brings deep technical expertise, sound judgment, and a continuous learning mindset to a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Your Role Responsibilities – Here's What You'll Do

  • Operate as a trusted advisor on security issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and significant best practice knowledge to guide teams and stakeholders
  • Use security tools to resolve complex security issues and defeat advanced threats; conduct vulnerability assessments and perform acquisition and vendor risk assessments to ensure systems are protected
  • Support the design, implementation, maintenance, and use of security tools and artificial intelligence solutions to protect and govern the information needs of the organization; use security tools and artificial intelligence to resolve complex security issues across cloud and hybrid environments
  • Respond to and resolve complex reported security incidents; provide detailed incident documentation for escalations and drive timely, effective resolution
  • Monitor systems for anomalies and disruptions and respond accordingly; conduct security vulnerability research and provide recommendations on imminent threats within the cyber security community
  • Mentor, coach, and provide feedback to team members; assist in the development of security policies and evaluate and recommend new or replacement security technologies for purchase

Role Essentials – What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with significant experience as an IT Security Administrator within private, public, and hybrid cloud environments
  • Significant experience with Microsoft and Unix operating systems and applying security fundamentals and networking concepts
  • CISSP, GIAC, or other security certifications; CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience with agentic artificial intelligence, model context protocols, automation technology, and security tools such as endpoint detection and response, file integrity monitoring, security posture management, and security information and event monitoring.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Experience creating, maintaining, and modernizing security processes, policies, documentation, and instructions
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and recommend new or replacement security technologies for purchase and implementation
  • Experience supporting teams in establishing and enforcing security standards, including building and maintaining recovery procedures
  • Strong attention to detail with a drive to learn and stay current professionally in the evolving cyber security landscape
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and provide timely feedback to team members and contribute insights to leadership on team capabilities

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience as an IT Security Administrator within private, public, and hybrid cloud environments
  • Significant experience with Microsoft Operating systems and products
  • Significant experience with Unix Operating systems
  • Experience with automation tools and security tools
  • Experience with anti-malware, file integrity monitoring and data loss prevention tools
  • Significant experience with applying security fundamentals and networking concepts
  • CISSP, GIAC or other security certifications
  • COMP TIA Security certification or equivalent experience
  • Strong collaboration skills applied successfully within team as well as with other teams
  • Strong oral and written communication skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Driven to learn and stay current professionally
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of security fundamentals and networking concepts
  • Up to 10% travel time required
