Lead Developer
Location: Hyderabad Work Arrangement: Hybrid | 3 Days in Office, 2 Days Remote
About the Role
The Lead Developer is responsible for the overall performance of the product by applying principles of software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of software. This role ensures the timely delivery of high-quality software within release timelines and guidelines, while serving as an innovative thought leader, trusted advisor, and technical mentor across teams and programs.
Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
- Develop complex code based on functional specifications across teams and programs; complete logic and algorithm design in alignment with established standards; maintain and improve codebase, data design, and best practices including performance, security, reliability, and quality attributes.
- Understand and contribute to the architecture of the software; create initial implementation standards and guidelines for projects that enable teams and programs to begin implementing them based on technical specifications.
- Operate as an innovative thought leader and trusted advisor across teams and programs; contribute significantly to the overall growth and quality of the department through knowledge sharing, architectural design influence, and coaching on current best practices and market trends.
- Design, contribute to, and lead the implementation of the delivery pipeline including test automation, security, and performance; create development standards to ensure compliance with product and industry practices and regulations.
- Author, review, and approve technical requirements and design documents; identify and articulate the business value and broader impact of software changes to internal and external stakeholders, contributing to prioritization decisions.
- Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to team members; act as an escalation point and subject matter expert for the most complex production and software code issues to ensure application stability and resolution.
Role Essentials
- Master's degree or equivalent experience, with significant experience overseeing complex systems analysis, design, and development programs.
- Mastery of one or more general-purpose programming languages, including but not limited to: .Net, C/C++, C#, Objective C, Python, or JavaScript; significant experience in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Significant demonstrated experience with build environments, delivery pipelines, test automation, and continuous integration tools.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, motivate, and mobilize team members, business partners, and program leadership; strong ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others.

- Expertise providing guidance and mentorship to developing engineers, with demonstrated leadership in guiding teams through conceptualizing, designing, implementing, and shipping quality deliverables.
- Excellent ability to develop and apply original thinking to translate goals into the implementation of new ideas and innovative design solutions.
- Significant experience in software application testing tools, methodologies, and process frameworks.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage complex projects to completion independently, while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- A passion for learning and staying current professionally, with intellectual curiosity and a sharp aptitude for emerging technologies and market trends.
