Senior Test Engineer
Location: Hyderabad Work Arrangement: Hybrid | 3 Days in Office, 2 Days Remote
About the Role
The Senior Test Engineer is responsible for writing code and test scripts, identifying tools for functional and non-functional tests, and contributing to the OnBase automated test frameworks to ensure the delivery of high-quality software and products. This role designs test plans, test procedures, and code/scripts to accurately assess the functionality of OnBase products related to Government, Financial Services, and Cross-Industry — ensuring products are developed in accordance with product requirements and department quality standards.
The Senior Test Engineer collaborates with engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, and software modifications, while contributing to the establishment, use, and ongoing maintenance of the build pipeline.
Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
- Develop and maintain complex integration, functional, and non-functional tests and automated test frameworks across teams to ensure the holistic quality of OnBase software across Government, Financial Services, and Cross-Industry products.
- Lead and maintain the implementation of the delivery pipeline, including test automation frameworks, build environments, test environments, and security.
- Lead the verification of system functionality by executing complex automated and manual tests, analyzing results, and providing recommendations; create and manage performance metrics, defects/enhancements, test cases, and test results.
- Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and best practice knowledge; identify and implement better test tools and automation methodologies.
- Influence and lead on team standards, processes, and events including planning, work estimation, peer reviews, and test design; assess the business value and broader impact of software changes when designing automated tests and contribute to team backlog prioritization.
- Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to other team members; research complex escalations for production and software issues to ensure the stability of the application.

Role Essentials
- 5+ Years of experience in Testing.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience, with demonstrated experience across all phases of the test lifecycle.
- Demonstrated experience with Jenkins pipelines or equivalent CI tools, test automation reports, and creation and maintenance of automated tests in XUnit/NUnit; experience with source control systems such as Git and TFS.
- Demonstrated experience with test design, critical thinking, regression testing, reporting, and bug tracking; experience with MS SQL Server and Windows platform development.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment; strong oral and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Experience with Agile frameworks and demonstrated experience in software application testing tools, methodologies, and process frameworks.
What We'd Like to See
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter and API testing tools such as Postman/Bruno.
- Experience with security compliance activities such as SOC2, NIST, and/or FedRAMP.
- Understanding of automation frameworks such as Selenium/Playwright.
- Good leadership, sound judgment, and business acumen; strong ability to use original thinking to translate goals into the implementation of new ideas and design solutions.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects to completion in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and a drive to stay current professionally.
