Senior Infrastructure Administrator
Location: Kolkata, India Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 Days a Week in Office Shift Timing: 8:30 PM IST to 5:30 AM IST

Hyland is looking for a highly experienced and technically strong Senior Infrastructure Administrator to join our team in Kolkata, India. In this role, you will be accountable for managing, securing, and overseeing the full lifecycle of enterprise infrastructure platforms across both on-premises and cloud environments. This role emphasizes infrastructure operations, platform reliability, modernization initiatives, and security hardening — rather than direct end-user support. Responsibilities span compute, virtualization, network, identity, security, and cloud systems to ensure robust performance, resilience, and compliance within the core IT infrastructure. Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
- Manage, secure, and oversee the full lifecycle of enterprise infrastructure platforms across both on-premises and cloud environments, including compute, virtualization, network, identity, security, and cloud systems to ensure robust performance, resilience, and compliance.
- Administer Identity & Access management across Azure AD/Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory, including user lifecycle management, group policy management, service account administration, domain maintenance, patching, and controller lifecycle management.
- Manage Messaging & Collaboration platforms including Exchange administration, shared mailboxes, Proofpoint integration, Exchange maintenance, patching, installation and upgrades, OneDrive permissions, SharePoint site creation, and outage troubleshooting for Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and Azure.
- Oversee Endpoint Management & Security including JAMF, Microsoft Defender, ABM, Intune, SCCM maintenance and patching, BitLocker deployment, laptop imaging, workstation patching, and Office 365/third-party application patching.
- Lead Virtualization & Cloud Compute operations including VM deployments (on-premises and Azure), migrations between vSphere environments, upgrades and updates, VM hard drive expansions, Linux and Windows machine maintenance, and end-to-end deployment troubleshooting.
- Manage Network & Connectivity operations including DNS records and firewall policy/rule management, VPN/tunnel requests, site-to-site tunnel configuration, SSL certificate creation/renewal, core networking, DHCP, DNS, firewall, IPAM, GlobalProtect VPN, and load balancing.
Additional Responsibilities
LOBA & Infrastructure Systems Administration Demonstrates expertise in supporting Line of Business Applications (LOBA) and core infrastructure through user lifecycle management, routine administration, patching and maintenance, as well as incident response across Microsoft 365, identity, endpoint, virtualization, cloud, and networking domains.
Identity & Access (Entra ID / AD)
- Azure platform and Azure AD role administration
- On-premises and cloud security groups and distribution groups
- Group policy management and service account administration (on-premises and cloud)
- User management across domains; employee separation processes; name changes and contractor onboarding
- Troubleshooting new hire scripts; domain maintenance, patching, and controller lifecycle management
Messaging & Collaboration (Exchange / Microsoft 365)
- Exchange administration and shared mailboxes; Proofpoint integration
- Exchange maintenance, patching, installation, and upgrades
- OneDrive permissions management; SharePoint site creation and add-ins
- Outage troubleshooting for Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and Azure
Endpoint Management & Security
- JAMF and JAMF Threat Defense administration
- Microsoft Defender management and issue resolution
- ABM, Intune, SCCM maintenance and patching; BitLocker deployment
- Laptop imaging, workstation patching, Office 365/third-party application patching
Infrastructure / Virtualization & Cloud
- Server and SQL Server patching; VMware environments management
Monitoring / Tools & Process
- CyberArk, Zabbix, AppViewX, LogicMonitor administration
- New hire cancellations and onboarding processes
- Education services systems and image capture
Education Services (ES) Classroom & Lab Operations
- Setup and maintenance for online and onsite classrooms
- Weekly deployments for Education Services team
Virtualization & Cloud Compute
- VRA image capture and administration
- VM deployments (on-premises and Azure), migrations between vSphere environments, upgrades and updates
- VM hard drive expansions and configuration upgrades (cloud/on-prem)
- Linux and Windows machine maintenance
- Azure VM, VRA deployment, CVPN VM, and Sales Demo VM support
- Domain re-joining for VMs and end-to-end deployment troubleshooting
- Manage TFS and GCP VMs as required for lab/classroom environments
- File share setup and user permissions assignment
- Printer and print server management for classroom environments
Network & Connectivity
- DNS records and firewall policy/rule management (including Azure firewall rules)
- VPN/tunnel requests and site-to-site tunnel configuration
- IP address reservation and subnet addition to Azure
- SSL certificate creation/renewal; endpoint/server certificate support
- Coordination for external accessibility of machines
- Troubleshoot internal/external resource unavailability and outages
- Voice system and Genesys troubleshooting/support
- Server access and migration support; URL/IP blocking requests (Panorama); domain additions (GlobalSign)
Networking (Core)
- Core networking, DHCP, DNS, firewall, and IPAM
- GlobalProtect VPN and load balancing
- Office networks (LAN/Wi-Fi), print servers, and voice systems
Project & Improvement Work
- Participation in infrastructure projects (upgrades, migrations, modernization, security enhancements)
- Documentation management in Confluence and internal knowledge systems
- Technical input for process improvements and architectural decisions

Role Essentials
- 8+ years of experience in Infrastructure Administration and Network Administration roles; Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Strong experience with Windows Server administration, Active Directory and Group Policy, VMware vSphere/vCenter, and Microsoft network environments; proficiency with PowerShell scripting.
- Working knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancing; experience with server hardware (Dell, IBM, Cisco UCS, HP).
- Familiarity with monitoring, patching, and endpoint management tools; strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation and work flexible or shift hours when required for maintenance windows or incident response; strong prioritization and technical adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
What We'd Like to See (Preferred Skills)
- Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification; VMware certification (VCP or equivalent).
- Experience with CyberArk (Privileged Access Management); experience with Rapid7 or enterprise vulnerability management platforms.
- Exposure to hybrid cloud infrastructure design; knowledge of enterprise security frameworks and compliance standards.
