Overview

Hyland is building a next-generation UI framework and design system, called Satori, powering all Hyland products. Satori is foundational to how our applications look, behave, and scale, making quality, accessibility, and reliability absolutely critical.

 

As a Senior Test Engineer (Test Engineer 3), you will own and scale the quality and testing framework for Satori, ensuring high-quality, accessible UI components across Hyland products. This is a high-impact role where you will shape the quality strategy for a shared UI platform used across the entire Hyland ecosystem.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust UI automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript
  • Build and execute functional, non-functional, and accessibility tests for reusable UI components
  • Create and maintain automated test suites for Angular and Angular Material applications
  • Ensure WCAG accessibility compliance by integrating accessibility testing into the automation pipeline
  • Lead test strategy for shared UI components used across multiple Hyland products
  • Identify test flakiness, analyze failures, and work closely with engineering teams to drive resolution
  • Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines for test automation, build, and execution
  • Review test automation code and promote clean code and design patterns
  • Define, track, and report quality metrics, defects, and trends
  • Mentor junior engineers and influence testing standards, tools, and best practices across teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on modern UI testing approaches, tools, and frameworks

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on UI test automation
  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for UI automation
  • Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript
  • Solid experience testing Angular-based applications, including Angular Material components
  • Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS selectors, and DOM structure
  • Hands-on experience with web accessibility testing and assistive technologies
  • Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch
  • Strong understanding of testing best practices, test types, and test strategies
  • Ability to analyze complex test failures, identify flaky tests, and report actionable defects
  • Proficiency with Git-based version control workflows.
