About the Role
Hyland is seeking a skilled and driven Test Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for writing code and scripts, identifying tools for functional and non-functional testing, and contributing to automated test frameworks that ensure the delivery of high-quality software and products. You'll collaborate across engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests — all while helping shape and evolve our build pipeline and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
Develop and maintain complex integration, functional, and non-functional tests and automated test frameworks across teams to ensure the holistic quality of the software.
Lead and maintain the implementation of the delivery pipeline, including test automation, frameworks, build environments, test environments, and security.
Lead the verification of system functionality by executing complex automated and manual tests, analyzing results, and providing recommendations; create and manage performance metrics, defects/enhancements, test cases, and test results.
Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and best practice knowledge to identify and implement better test tools and automation methodologies.
Complete complex peer code reviews for test automation code, incorporating feedback into automated tests while influencing and leading team standards, planning, work estimation, and test design.
Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to team members; research complex escalations for production and software issues to ensure the continued stability of the application.

Basic Qualifications

Role Essentials
BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 3+ years of experience preferred.
Experience with all phases of the test lifecycle, including significant experience with test design, regression testing, and test automation.
Significant experience with build environments, delivery pipelines, and continuous integration tools.
Significant experience in development on Windows/Linux platforms using multiple scripting tools and programming languages.
Experience with Agile frameworks and source control systems, paired with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

What We'd Like to See
Experience with DICOM, PACS, HL7, and IHE with practical automation and CI/CD skills.
Experience with Medical Digital Imaging software and software application testing tools, methodologies, and process frameworks.
Strong oral and written communication skills that reflect a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact.
Proven leadership, sound judgment, and business acumen with the ability to translate goals into new ideas and design solutions.
Self-motivated and driven to learn, with the ability to manage projects independently to completion in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Transparency
The base salary for this role is dependent on experience and qualifications.
