Overview

The Solution Engineer is responsible for delivering professional solutions to business stakeholders by translating business process requirements into a technical solution through design implementation testing and training

Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype and build basic business solutions following best practices to meet business needs based on feedback from stakeholders
  • Safeguard the security, integrity and confidentiality of the company's internal systems and data by following company security protocols
  • Test basic business solutions and ensure performance is as designed; work with team members to resolve any issues
  • Document basic solutions to allow support team to support business customers and for easy maintenance; transition key information to support team
  • Participate in business analysis to assist in gathering information about business process and customer needs from key business stakeholders
  • Assist with migration of business solution into environments and support stakeholders throughout migration process with guidance from team members
  • Assist in the documentation and presentation of basic business analysis and solutions requirements to key stakeholders for validation and approval
  • Compose training materials and conduct training sessions for end users, with guidance from team members.
  • Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Good oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
  • Problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
  • Able to thoroughly investigate situations or issues to get relevant information; adept at asking probing questions to successfully obtain quality information
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to effectively manage a consistent customer-oriented project workload; effectively communicates project delays to management team and proactively seeks additional customer project work
  • Knowledge of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server
  • Knowledge of object oriented programming languages such as C#, Apex, or Python
  • Up to 5% travel time required
