As an Infrastructure Engineer 3, you’ll shape the core infrastructure that powers a global workforce—building scalable, resilient, and secure services that enable the business to move faster. You’ll lead end-to-end infrastructure delivery from design through deployment, documentation, and capacity planning, with an automation-first mindset and a focus on AI-driven operations to reduce toil and technical debt. You’ll strengthen business continuity through backup and disaster recovery strategy, serve as a level 3 escalation point during complex incidents, and drive root-cause improvements that raise reliability and performance. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer and mentor who thrives in collaborative, remote environments and enjoys elevating team capability through guidance and training.

Job Description

  • The Infrastructure Engineer 3 oversees the design, engineering, implementation, deployment, documentation, testing, and continuous capacity planning of infrastructure solutions to support our global workforce. This role focuses on automation-first approaches, AI-driven operations, disaster recovery readiness, and reducing technical debt to provide scalable, resilient, and secure compute services that support enterprise strategy. They will also act as a mentor, offering direct training and technical guidance to our junior engineers.
    • This role is remote/ hybrid. This role will report to our Hyderabad or Kolkata office as needed.

Responsibilities

    • Design, build, and implement robust infrastructure solutions in alignment with business needs, security best practices, and organizational standards defined
    • Ensure the security, integrity, and confidentiality of the company’s supported systems and data; work collaboratively to implement high-impact enhancements that sustain and strengthen the organization’s security posture
    • Identify, prioritize, and implement automation for resource deployment, compute and storage allocation, and optimize the delivery of key Infrastructure services
    • Design and implement solutions for backup and disaster recovery; participate in the testing and execution of disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure business continuity
    • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues and outages; perform problem-solving, root-cause, and post-mortem analyses, using AI and Automation to drive process improvements and efficiency
    • Document the design, operation, procedures, and troubleshooting of implemented solutions and technology platforms; compose training materials and conduct training sessions with stakeholders
    • Perform regular reviews of processes and provide guidance and oversight for audits of server infrastructure and operating environments to validate compliance with enterprise configuration baselines, security policies, and system hardening standards
    • Provides guidance, mentorship, and support to junior team members; conducts comprehensive system reviews; and advocates for the implementation of I&O best practices throughout the organization

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of relevant experience in information technology is required
  • Experience as a Systems Engineer/Architect
  • Experience working with Hypervisor and Virtualization Platforms (please indicate specific tools and technologies you have experience with)
  • Experience working with Windows and Linux server operating systems
  • Task automation and high-level scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Ansible
  • Proven experience (5+ years) designing, implementing, and securing enterprise-level cloud environments in Azure and AWS
  • Fundamental understanding of networking principles

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing and implementing enterprise storage platforms
  • Experience working with monitoring and observability tools (Zabbix, LogicMonitor, PagerDuty)
  • Experience designing and architecting database infrastructure solutions (SQL, Oracle)
  • Experience with VM template patching and lifecycle management automation

  • Proven data-gathering and ability to analyze information, conduct effective interviews, and apply sound judgment to synthesize findings and develop recommendations
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence, including timely responsiveness, appropriate follow-through, and effective issue resolution
  • Good interpersonal skills: able to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside of department
  • Works collaboratively with remote and cross-functional teams to meet organization objectives
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with Project Management – Agile, Scrumban, Jira
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Up to 5% travel time required
