Overview

This role is responsible for assisting with implementing, monitoring, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining the IT Infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to requests related to complex systems
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner with minimal oversight; apply extensive experience and best practice knowledge in problem resolution
  • Assist with the creation of proposals on technical specifications and requirements for purchasing of new servers and networking equipment
  • Create and execute on projects involving complex installations, upgrades and modernization of servers and systems
  • Conduct audits of servers and environment to ensure compliance with established standards, policies and configuration guidelines
  • Provide support for Infrastructure systems such as server maintenance, storage, networking, database administration, network security, messaging, directory services, server virtualization, monitoring, etc.
  • Compose internal documentation with minimal oversight from team members that reflects processes and system configurations
  • Take proactive measures to identify and improve internal efficiencies; remain current on best practices and market trends
  • Participate and assist in creation of the maintenance, testing, and execution of the disaster recovery plan
  • Provide guidance to other team members

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience as a Systems Administrator
  • Experience with Dynatrace preferred
  • Experience working with public cloud solutions
  • Experience working with virtualization technologies
  •  Experience working with server operating systems
  • Good oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
  • Good data gathering, interviewing, and analytical/problem solving skills
  • Good customer service orientation
  • Good interpersonal skills; able to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside of department
  • Good attention to detail
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Experience working with Citrix, Netapp, and Linux
  • Microsoft Windows or MacOS and Microsoft Office proficient
  • Good knowledge of systems administration
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows network environments
  • Up to 5% travel time required
