The Director, GTM Finance serves as the strategic finance business partner to the leaders of Sales, Marketing and Customer Success. This role is responsible for directing the budgeting, planning, forecasting and analysis of financial information. This position defines and leads FP&A strategic initiatives and oversees a team of FP&A professionals, ensuring department results are achieved. The ideal candidate has a strong FP&A foundation, with demonstrated success in business partnering. This individual must be highly analytical, process oriented, with excellent communication/collaboration skills and a proven track record of synthesizing and simplifying complex issues.
Identify opportunities to accelerate revenue growth, utilizing advanced analytics and data science techniques to provide actionable insights and drive cross-functional initiatives
Develop and deliver compelling financial analysis on sales, recurring revenue, and marketing performance for internal and external stakeholders
Continuously refine financial and operational metrics, analytics, and tools, leading initiatives to improve business systems and processes for better decision-making support
Ensure monthly, quarterly, and year-end financials are prepared accurately, efficiently, and according to appropriate deadlines
Create financial statement and system impact modeling as it relates to mergers and acquisitions integrations; assist with due diligence and execution of integration processes
Establish and assure leadership adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
Collaborate with senior management and executives to define and ensure success of department strategy
Work with the leadership to plan and set the strategic vision, organizational structure, operating policies and procedures and management practices to ensure department delivers operational excellence
Evaluate the process and procedures used by the team; Identify opportunities for process improvement and greater efficiency and serve as an advocate for change. Work collaboratively across departments with leaders
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
10+ years of FP&A experience, preferably, in Enterprise SaaS within a high-growth environment.
5+ years of prior management experience
Experience at a Private Equity portfolio company preferred
Experience with sales commission plan strategy and administration, with a proven ability to align compensation with business goals.
Exceptional SaaS and ARR forecasting, with a strong understanding of GTM analytics and marketing demand generation.
Strong experience with FP&A and BI analytics tools like Adaptive Insights and PowerBI
Superb business partnering experience and demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional leaders strongly preferred
Superb problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
Superb interpersonal skills; able to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside of department
Superb leadership, sound judgement, and business acumen skills
Superb verbal/written communication skills and presentation skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
