The Network Engineer 3 is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available network solutions across public and hybrid cloud environments. This role is highly collaborative, partnering closely with DevOps, security teams, and business stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable, and optimized network connectivity.
Responsibilities
Design complex system configuration, direct system installation, define, document and enforce system standards to establish networking environment.
Secures network system by establishing procedures and access while defining additional controls as necessary
Develop and implement incident response processes and solutions
Diagnose complex system issues with multiple influencing factors.
Develop and implement recovery procedures for systems.
Ensure consistency with documentation for network systems and procedures.
Partner with respective departments to develop network systems to support the strategy of new applications or customer solutions
Contribute and execute on innovating new ideas, researching related work, developing new concepts, and prototyping ideas.
Assist to complete audits of network devices to ensure compliance with established standards, policies and configuration guidelines .
Mentor, coach and train other team members.
Participate in professional associations, outreach activities, or appropriate educational opportunities to stay current on industry best practices and relevant technical skills.
Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in related field
5-7 Years Experience
AWS experience is required
Expereince with architecting cloud networks, hybrid/multi-cloud connectivity (VPNs & Direct Connect), VPC/VNet, subnets, routing
Direct experience with implementing firewalls, network security groups (NSGs), access policies, and Zero Trust principles
Experience with using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to provision resources
Knowledge of using tools (CloudWatch, etc) to monitor performance, troubleshoot, and optimize traffic
Expertise in Microsoft products
Expertise in Linux operating systems
CCNP Preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Driven to learn and stay current with technology
Excellent collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
Ability to work outside of normal business hours (evenings, weekends, etc)
Expertise in route, switch, and firewall technologies
Expertise in load balancing technologies
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the pricipal duties of the job
Travel up to 10%
Based on individual states’ employment laws, the following details are to comply with the relevant salary posting requirements: base salary range of $104,000-$156,000 and eligible for benefits
