Overview

The Privacy Analyst 2 supports the organization’s privacy program ensuring compliance with applicable data privacy requirements. This position collaborates with internal business partners and works under the guidance of senior privacy team members and leadership.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct privacy impact assessments and participate in audits; document findings and mitigation steps. Respond to privacy requests for proposals (RFPs) privacy questions and data subject requests.  
  • Implement new privacy laws and processes; escalates complex issues to senior staff.  
  • Lead privacy awareness training in the organization including preparing and distributing communications and training initiatives.  
  • Partner with stakeholders to address privacy requests  escalating complex issues to senior team members or leadership.  
  • Maintain and update the company’s data inventory.  
  • Monitor adherence to data protection laws (e.g. GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and internal policies; support audit and compliance reviews. 
  • Evaluate vendor privacy practices and assist in completing vendor risk assessments to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. 
  • Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • 2–4 years of privacy or related compliance experience 
  • CIPP  
  • Microsoft Windows and Office proficient 
  • Good oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact 
  • Good organizational multi-tasking and time management skills 
  • Good collaboration skills applied successfully within team as well as with other areas 
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills 
  • Good facilitation and project management skill 
  • Good interpersonal skills; able to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside of department 
  • Good data gathering interviewing and analytical/problem solving skills 
  • Good critical thinking and problem solving skills 
  • Ability to use original thinking to translate goals into the implementation new ideas and design solutions 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects to completion with oversight 
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced deadline driven environment 
  • Good attention to detail 
  • Demonstrated ability to influence motivate and mobilize team members and business partners 
  • Good ability to develop and use engaging informative and compelling presentation methodologies

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment 
  • Good knowledge of systems administration 
  • Good data analysis knowledge using tools; Excel SQL or statistical software packages 
  • Good knowledge of Linux Operating systems 
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems and products 
  • Familiarity with OneTrust or similar privacy management tools preferred.  
  • Good Working knowledge of GDPR CCPA/CPRA HIPAA LGPD; willingness to grow knowledge in global privacy laws.  
  • Up to 5% travel time required 

Based on individual states’ employment laws, the following details are to comply with the relevant salary posting requirements:  base salary range of $72,000-$90,000 and eligible for benefits
