Overview

The License Compliance Manager 3 is responsible for completing reviews and assessments of customers' software license usage to ensure compliance with licensing agreements.  The position is responsible for requesting collecting and analyzing data preparing and presenting findings collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify and implement settlements and engaging with customers throughout the entire review and resolution lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and lead the license usage review process with customer organizations.  Act as a liaison between the company and the customer during the review process.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to facilitate data collection and communication.  Educate customers on license terms and best practices to ensure understanding and transparency. 
  • Complete relevant analysis. Evaluate compliance with various licensing models and contracting frameworks such as user-based core-based subscription and SaaS licensing. Review entitlements purchase history and contract terms in the context of current deployments.  Map actual software usage against purchased entitlements to identify over-deployment underutilization or unlicensed use.
  • Prepare clear and detailed reports outlining findings potential compliance issues and recommended actions.  Present findings to internal stakeholders and when appropriate to customers.
  • Provide insights recommendations and proposals related to potential settlements and related negotiation approaches.
  • Negotiate non-complex settlement agreements and complete settlement transactions (e.g. amendments orders).
  • Provide feedback to improve license terms review processes and internal controls.
  • Support the development implementation and continuous improvement of review methodologies tools and best practices.
  • Mentor coach train and provide feedback to other team members; may provide feedback to leadership on technical abilities of team

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Business Administration or related field; in lieu of a degree demonstrated domain-specific experience and expertise with accompanying track record of success.
  • 3–5 years of experience in software license compliance IT asset management (ITAM) or IT auditing - including large enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience conducting software license usage reviews/audits and interpreting license agreements on behalf of a vendor or consulting firm.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing various-scale IT environments including on-premises virtualized and cloud deployments.
  • Broad understanding of software licensing.
  • Familiarity with hybrid environments (on-premise + cloud) and enterprise deployment practices.
  • Experience working with enterprise procurement legal and IT infrastructure teams.
  • Microsoft Windows and Office proficient
  • Strong oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
  • Strong organizational multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Strong collaboration skills applied successfully within team as well as with all levels of employees in other areas

  • Professional certification in software asset management or auditing (e.g. CSAM CISA ITIL CITAM).
  • Experience supporting or managing vendor license audits.
  • Understanding of software compliance in cloud environments (e.g. SaaS IaaS PaaS).
  • Up to 20% travel time required

 

Remuneration Disclosure: 

·         Starting Base Salary Range: 220,000.00 - 280,000.00 PLN gross per month. The posted pay range represents the company’s good faith estimate for this role. Actual compensation may differ based on relevant experience, skills, education, and work location. 

·         The remuneration includes all components related to the role, such as: 

o    Base salary 

o    Performance-related/Commission bonus eligibility (if applicable to role)
