Job Description
- The Internal Project Manager is responsible for planning managing and monitoring more complex projects from inception through closure ensuring they are completed on time within scope and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate direct and control large complex projects; ensure project results have an articulated scope with quantifiable business benefit
- Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and significant best practice knowledge
- Apply advanced project management and change management best practices and methodologies best practices project management methodologies project documentation and tools and market trends
- Manage activities of project resources to ensure project progresses on schedule within budget and in line with accepted requirements
- Proactively work with stakeholders to anticipate and resolve conflicts and deliver actionable resolutions
- Create and maintain project documentation including project charters and plans that specify goals execution approach staffing and scheduling
- Develop communication plans; deliver timely and effective updates to all identified audiences
- Mentor coach train and provide feedback to other team members; may provide feedback to leadership on abilities of team
- Manage project team and key business stakeholder meetings; use engaging informative and well-organized presentations
- Partner with stakeholders to define success metrics and criteria or more complex projects
- Proactively identify and manage scope change and risks for complex projects
- Prepare project status reports and keep project sponsor and teams informed of project status and related issues and risks
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager successfully managing cross-functional projects
- Strong experience with Microsoft Operating systems and products
- Experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment
- Strong collaborative skills applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
- Strong facilitation and project management skills
- Strong organizational multi-tasking and time management skills
- Strong oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong conflict management interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Proficient skills in using Project Management and Change Management tools and methodologies
- Strong ability to develop and use engaging informative and compelling presentation methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to operate at the highest level of integrity professionalism and forthrightness
- Demonstrated success in effectively developing and implementing new strategies
- Strong business and technology acumen
- Demonstrated ability to influence motivate and mobilize team members and business partners
- Able to thrive in a fast paced deadline driven environment
- Demonstrated fiscal responsibility/accountability in managing project budgets
- Sharp fast learner with technology curiosity and aptitude
- Advanced knowledge of Project Management methodologies
- Up to 10% travel time required
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
