As a Data Scientist 4, you will play a critical role in driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. You will lead the development of predictive models, advanced statistical techniques, and machine learning. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and strong business acumen to translate complex data into actionable insights for our B2B software products.
· Serve as a strategic partner to cross-functional teams, identifying opportunities to apply data science to solve business problems.
· Collaborate and lead large, complex analytical experiments with minimal oversight from team members. Analyze data for trends and patterns, and interpret data with clear objectives in mind.
· Lead the design, development, and deployment of predictive models (e.g., churn, propensity, lifetime value).
· Serve as a data strategist to identify and integrate new datasets, and work closely with the engineering team in the development of data deliverables for business consumption.
· Build and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations in Power BI to communicate insights effectively.
· Identify relevant data sources and sets to mine for business needs, and collect large structured and unstructured datasets and variables.
· Develop and utilize advanced algorithms and models to mine big-data stores; perform data and error analysis to improve models; clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy.
· Make strategic recommendations on data collection, integration, and retention requirements, incorporating business needs and industry best practices.
· Collaborate with internal business analysts and external client teams to identify and solve data-driven challenges.
· Collaborate with data engineering team to integrate models into production environments.
· Mentor junior data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
· Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and machine learning.
· Ensure data integrity and governance across all analytics initiatives
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in data science or advanced analytics, preferably in a B2B SaaS or enterprise software environment.
· Proven experience building and deploying predictive models using Python or R.
· Advanced understanding of relational, NoSQL, big data, and graph databases
· Hands-on experience with Power BI for data modeling, visualization, and reporting.
· Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and A/B testing.
· Advanced Microsoft Excel and data mining skills.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex analyses into business impact.
· Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
· Experience with customer analytics, including churn prediction, segmentation, and lifetime value modeling.
· Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
· Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with engineering teams.
· Excellent oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with executive presence
